Our Story
In February 2025, I was hosting a Super Bowl party and planned to make a huge batch of fresh salsa. But I had a problem: many of my friends were trying to limit their seed oil intake, and almost every store-bought tortilla chip is fried in them. I knew they wouldn't eat a lot of chips, and all that salsa would go to waste. So, I decided to fry my own chips using a healthier fat: pasture-raised, grass-fed beef tallow.
I made about 350 chips for my 10 guests, and by the end of the first quarter, they were all gone! Seeing how much everyone loved them, I realized there was a huge need for a better-for-you snack. After extensive research, I confirmed what I suspected: there were very few clean-label tortilla chips on the market. Just a few months later, Tallow-Tilla was born—our mission is to provide a delicious and wholesome alternative to the standard chip.
